Episode (エピソード, Episōdo) is one of the vampire hunters who tried to kill Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade while she was still a powerful vampire; he managed to steal her left leg. He is nicknamed Sode by Izuko Gaen.

Appearance

Episode has blonde hair of medium length and not too neatly combed, as well as have sanpaku eyes. He wears a white uniform and wields a giant cross as a weapon.

In Tsubasa Tiger, it is revealed that he's six years old in age.

Personality

Episode is aggressive and arrogant, and as a half-vampire he is openly disgusted by vampires and references to his other prays as: "those who think if they have the powers of mosquitoes, then they are invincible". Shinobu Oshino states half-vampires do not belong anywhere, and consequently hate both humans and vampires. His catchphrase seems to be: "That's hilarious."

Background

Episode is a half-vampire. Half-vampires, in exchange for an immortality that is weaker than that of a regular vampire are characterized by not bearing most of a regular vampire's weak points. For example, they can walk under the sun and they can cast a shadow. Normally, half-vampires are not accepted in both humanity and kaii side so this circumstance leads Episode to hate vampires. He acts not entirely because of work but also for personal feelings, so Meme Oshino warned Koyomi Araragi that he won't easily give up like what Dramaturgie did.

He's got an abnormal maturity growth from his parent vampire, which led him to look like a teenager despite being a six year old child.

Episode with other hunters surround Koyomi.

Koyomi Vamp

In duel for the leg of Shinobu, he was fighting with Koyomi Araragi by throwing his cross with his vampire strength (incomparable to the true vampires but it's enough to throw his massive cross).

Episode vs. Koyomi.

Koyomi can't match him because Episode was transforming into mist every time and didn't have vampire weaknesses, but when Tsubasa Hanekawa tried to help Koyomi, Episode wounded her with his cross; she still managed to get out what she wanted to say to Koyomi before falling unconscious. Koyomi flew into a rage and managed to find a weakness (thanks to Tsubasa's help) and began to choke Episode. He would be dead if Meme Oshino didn't stop Koyomi. After that fight he returned the leg as he promised.

nickname revealed

Episode later returns to town for the first time after the events of spirng break and had a chance meeting with Tsubasa Hanekawa. Although Tsubasa showed some fear upon seeing the man who almost killed her, she manages to engage in a casual conversation with her. In this talk, he reveals that he returned after receiving a job from a client. That client later introduces herself as Izuko Gaen.[1]
